IPL 2021 is going to start from 9 April.
The Maharashtra government has cleared the way for the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) matches to be held in Mumbai badly affected by Kovid. Under this, during the night curfew imposed to prevent the epidemic, after eight o’clock at night, the teams were allowed to practice and come to the hotel. Due to increasing cases of Kovid-19 in Mumbai and Maharashtra, the state government had announced curfew from 8 am to 7 am in entire Maharashtra including Mumbai on Sunday. These guidelines are being followed from April 5. Right now, five teams have made Mumbai their destination. In such a situation, the decision of curfew could be overshadowed by these teams before the IPL. At the same time, 10 employees of Wankhede Stadium have also become corona negative.
The state government, however, strictly permitted the IPL teams to practice after eight o’clock even after observing the bio bubble. The IPL will start from April 9, whose first match will be played in Chennai. In a letter issued to the Cricket Board of India (BCCI), Srirang Gholap, Secretary, Disaster Management, Relief and Rehabilitation Department, wrote, ‘Keeping in mind the timing of the match, the teams CCI (Cricket Club of India) and MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) Stadium Wankhede) practice time has been fixed for two sessions in the afternoon from four in the afternoon to six in the evening and seven in the evening from 30 to 10 in the evening. ‘
