Shardul Thakur comes from a place named Palghar, 87 km from Mumbai. To make a career in cricket, he used to travel for hours by local train to reach Mumbai. He made his Ranji Trophy debut in 2012-13 and was a member of the Mumbai team that won the tournament. During this time his weight was very high.
