South Africa turned water on the stormy century of English opener Jason Roy. After Roy’s explosive innings in the first ODI, England’s big victory was visible, but in the 20th over, South Africa made a tremendous comeback and broke England’s back. Batting first, South Africa scored 298 for 7 wickets thanks to Rasi van der Dussen’s 111 runs. Jason Roy and David Malan gave a stormy start to the English team chasing the target. There was a 146-run partnership between the two. England had not lost a single wicket till 19.2 overs.
South Africa was shocked to see this strong partnership. His humiliating defeat was visible, but Sisanda Magala broke this century partnership by dismissing Malan for 59 runs on the third ball of the 20th over.

The English team disintegrated as soon as the partnership between Malan and Roy broke and after that the whole team could add only 125 more runs. South African bowlers took all 10 wickets of England within 125 runs. At one time the team whose score was 146/0, could not even play the full 50 overs and got all out for 271 runs in 44.2 overs. Roy returns and beats Koota
Roy could not win his team, but it is good news for England that he has returned to form along with his return. He had played the last match for England in November last year. Since then he was out of the team. During this, he played in South Africa’s T20 league, but there too he was a super flop. In the last 10 innings, he could not even reach double figures 4 times, now with his return to the English team, he scored a century. Roy hit 11 fours and 4 sixes in his 113-run innings. He completed his 11th ODI century in 79 balls.
