Henderson said that after assuming the post of CEO of HBF, a health insurance company in Perth, he is unable to hold the post of chairman of Cricket Australia. In such a situation, he would consider it appropriate to leave this post.

He told cricket.com.au, I have recently taken up new responsibilities in my hometown of Perth and in such a situation it is difficult for me to devote proper time to the top job of Cricket Australia. So I decided that this is the right time to hand over this role to someone else.
Took office in February, left in December
Henderson took over the reins of Cricket Australia from interim chairman Richard Friedenstein in February this year after leaving Earl Eddings. But now he has also left the side of Cricket Australia. And in his place the name of Mike Baird has been stamped. For the fourth time in the last 18 months, there is a change in the chair of Cricket Australia’s chairman.

Mike Baird has the support of the board members and all the directors and provincial heads of Cricket Australia. He will take up his post in February next year. Baird is now 54 years old. He was the Prime Minister of New South Wales from 2014 to 2017, while in 2020 he was associated with the Board of Cricket Australia.
