David Malan, who returned to the England Test team after three years, said that bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Mohammad Siraj are different from each other and when they bowl together it becomes very difficult.
David Malan is a left handed batsman.
England’s aggressive batsman David Malan believes that Indian bowlers are so different from each other that no batsman can get used to playing them. Indian fast bowlers performed better in the recently held five-Test series against England. India was ahead 2-1 when the fifth match was canceled after cases of corona infection occurred in the Indian camp. Malan, who returned to the Test team after three years, said that bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Mohammad Siraj are different from each other and when they bowl together it becomes very difficult for the batsmen.
He said, ‘It’s all very difficult. One thing about the Indian attack is that they all differ from each other. Playing against them can never become a habit. One gets used to playing and the other presents a new challenge. Everyone did a great job in the series. Malan expressed happiness that Ravichandran Ashwin was not included in the Indian team. He said, ‘Not because he is not a great bowler, he is a serious bowler. He is one of the best spinners. It would be difficult for me to comment on why he was not in the team. The Indian team management, the captain chose Jadeja from Jadeja and Ashwin. They were ahead in the series so that decision cannot be debated. I am glad that Ashwin did not play.
Happy to return to Tests but disappointed with batting
Talking about his return to the Test team, Malan said that he is not completely happy with his performance. He said, ‘You know it was good to score in the first Test. Disappointed that I could not take advantage of that and score a century. It was a very good wicket to bat on so the way I got out was definitely disappointing. And then talking about the first innings at the Oval, it was very difficult to get out even after reaching 30 runs on a good wicket. I was very disappointed by this.
David Malan recently withdrew his name from IPL 2021. However, he did not explain why he took this decision.
