India’s first ODI captain Diana Edulji continues to work for the game even after retiring from cricket

Women’s IPL is going to start from this year. It is being seen as a new beginning in women’s cricket. At the same time last year, the match fees of the women’s and men’s cricket team were also made equal. Today, the respect and importance that women’s cricket is getting in our country has been contributed by many former players. Diana Edulji is also a part of that. (Getty Images)

Diana Edulji was born on 26 January 1956 in a Parsi family in Mumbai. There was an atmosphere of cricket in his family and seeing him, Edulji also started playing for the Parsi Gymkhana. This debut match for Edulji, who came out to play the first match at the age of just 20, did not live up to expectations. He got hurt during the very first match and his four teeth were broken. Such an injury was not considered good for the girl's family and social life. However, it did not make any difference to Edulji. He returned after some time. (Diana Edulji Twitter)
