He was born in a cave, then it became his home. When he came out of the cave, he shone in the world of football. Left football and showed in films. In 1938, Erik’s maternal grandfather was seriously injured fighting General Franco’s army in the Spanish Civil War and had to come to France with his wife. Eric’s family home was in a cave in the mountains of the Marseille area. This place was discovered in 1950 by his grandmother. By the time Eric was born in 1966, the cave had grown to little more than a room in the family’s home, which had become habitable.
