India’s top all-rounder Deepti Sharma was on Saturday appointed as the vice-captain of UP Warriors in the WPL. The 25-year-old player was roped in by UP Warriors with a bid of Rs 2.6 crore. Deepti, a key member of the Indian women’s team, is one of the few players in the country who has experience of playing in overseas franchise tournaments. The WPL will begin on March 26 at the Brabourne and DY Patil Stadiums in Mumbai.
