AB de Villiers has been with Royal Challengers Bangalore for a long time.
South Africa’s explosive batsman AB de Villiers is currently in UAE for IPL 2021. He is a member of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team captained by Virat Kohli. Before the start of the tournament, de Villiers considered himself an old man, saying that he needed rest to meet the requirements of competitive cricket. This 37-year-old cricketer is one of the main players of RCB. If this team has to end its title drought, then de Villiers’ walk will be very important. His performance in the first half in India was good. Kohli and RCB would like ABD to make a splash on the UAE pitches as well. De Villiers has started preparing for this. RCB also posted a video of his batting on 13 September. De Villiers is seen hitting big shots in this.
De Villiers said about the batting practice, ‘It was very good. The wicket was really tough. The bowlers bowled the ball well and there is a lot of moisture here. We will sweat a lot which is good in a way because it will reduce some weight but for an elderly like me, I should rest as much as I can. It was a great session and it was nice to see everyone here. Everyone looked very eager to play. I am looking forward to tomorrow’s warm-up match. The second half of IPL 2021 will start with the match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. At the same time, RCB has to play the match on Monday i.e. 20 September.
