At the same time, many cricketers and support staff participating in the 14th season of the Indian Premier League have also been hit. Meanwhile, news seeking to cancel or postpone the IPL is also continuously gaining headlines. Meanwhile, the BCCI President and former captain of the Indian team Sourav Ganguly has given an important statement on the question of canceling or continuing the IPL. Explain that due to the increasing cases of Corona virus in the country, the IPL was organized in the United Arab Emirates last year;

The 14th season of the IPL is scheduled to begin on 9 April, in which the opening match will be played by Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rohit Sharma’s captain Mumbai Indians. Maharashtra also has 10 matches of the league stage of the IPL to be held. However, the Maharashtra government has announced a weekend lockdown to prevent the growing cases of corona virus. However, as per TimesNow’s report, Sourav Ganguly has made it clear that the IPL will be played according to its schedule.

In the IPL, Mumbai has to host 10 matches from 10 April to 25 April. The final match of the league will be played on May 30 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. A few days ago, 8 to 10 field workers of Wankhede Stadium were found to be Corona positive. While Nitish Rana of Kolkata Knight Riders, Akshar Patel of Delhi Capitals and Devdat Padikkal of Royal Challengers Bangalore have also become Corona positive. A support staff of Chennai Superkings has also got corona virus. At the same time, cases of corona virus are continuously increasing in the country. The title of the 13th season of the Indian Premier League played in the United Arab Emirates was won by the Mumbai Indians. Mumbai defeated the Delhi Capitals team led by Shreyas Iyer in the title match to win their record fifth IPL title in Rohit Sharma’s captaincy.
