Tim Paine is the captain of Australia’s Test team
The responsibility of captaining Australia in the Ashes series is in the hands of its regular Test captain Tim Paine. But, after the neck surgery, now the suspense has arisen on his playing. The question also stands that if Tim Paine does not play, then who will lead the team. The Ashes series between Australia and England is starting from 8th December.
After the surgery of Tim Paine, however, Cricket Australia has expressed hope that he will be fully fit before the Ashes. Cricket Australia issued a statement saying that Paine can return to training by the end of this month. Whereas from November he will also start playing. The Australian Cricket Board has made it clear from these statements that there is not much suspense about Penn’s play.
Neck operation done after complaining of pain
Pen was operated on due to complaints of pain in the neck and left hand. In a statement issued by Cricket Australia, Tim Paine said, “The decision to perform my surgery was that of the spinal surgeon and Cricket Australia’s medical team. My surgery was successful. And, now I will get enough time to prepare for the Ashes as well.” He further said that I will start my physical training by the end of this month. And, I will also start doing full training from October. I will be fully prepared before the first Test of the Ashes series. I am eagerly waiting for that match.

This is not the first time Tim Paine has had surgery. He has had 7 operations before this. In the year 2016, the finger surgery had pushed him towards retirement from cricket.
