A report claimed that these workers staying in a hotel in Mumbai were present in the bio-bubble and infection has been found there.
There have been apprehensions about IPL 2021 matches to be held in Mumbai ever since the cases of coronavirus in Maharashtra increased. However, despite all these difficulties, the BCCI has refused to change the venue of the matches here, but the challenge for the board is not easy. Outlook According to the report, 14 members of the Star Sports team staying in Mumbai’s Five Star Hotel ‘Four Seasons Hotel’ have been infected with Corona. This hotel is part of BCCI’s bio-bubble. According to the report, among these members are cameraperson, producer, director and other important technical assistants. All of them are members of the team providing the main feed of the tournament.
In this regard, Star Sports CEO Sanjog Gupta said that he is confident about organizing a safe and successful tournament with the BCCI. He said, “We have made stringent provisions for the Bio Secure bubble and are confident that together with the BCCI we will organize an IPL that will be safe for everyone.”

The state government, however, strictly permitted the IPL teams to practice after eight o’clock even after observing the bio bubble. In Mumbai, teams of Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings are present in the initial phase. These four teams will play their first few matches at the Wankhede Stadium. The first match of the season in Mumbai will be played between Chennai and Delhi on 10 April.
