In the very first match of the series, hosts Sri Lanka did not score a big score but despite this the team registered a big win. The reason for this was Bangladesh's batting, in which 7 wickets fell within just 5 runs and the match in hand slipped.
Asanka's best century
After the thrilling Test series between Sri Lanka-Bangladesh, the ODI series between the two teams has also started and the first match of the series was filled with dramaticness. Sri Lanka batted first in this match but the team could not play even 50 overs. He scored only 244 runs in 49.2 overs. When the Sri Lankan team reached this score, the reason for it was Captain Charit Asanka, who introduced the best batting and scored a brilliant century. Actuals scored 106 runs in 123 balls. This was the 5th century of his ODI career.
