The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare informed on Friday that more than 59.86 crore doses of Corona Vaccine have been given to the states and union territories so far. The Health Ministry said that so far 59,86,36,380 doses have been provided to the states and union territories through all sources.
The Universalization Phase of Corona Vaccination started from 21 June 2021. As part of the vaccination campaign, the Government of India is supporting the states and union territories by providing them the vaccine free of cost. The Central Government is making various efforts to speed up the Corona Vaccination Drive and expand its scope across the country.
The central government is supplying 75 percent of the vaccine doses produced by the vaccine manufacturers in the country free of cost to the states and union territories. The ministry also said that apart from this, 17.64 (17,64,000) vaccine doses are present in the pipeline. According to the data released today, more than 4.05 crore (4,05,05,746) corona vaccine doses are still available with the states and union territories, which are to be administered.
More than 27 lakh people got the vaccine in Delhi
At the same time, according to the Central Government’s Covin Dashboard, more than 1,58,000 doses of Corona Vaccine were administered in Delhi on Thursday after July 8. Corona vaccine was administered to 1,59,037 people in Delhi on July 8. Delhi’s vaccination campaign has accelerated in the month of August.
There have been more vaccines in August than in the month of July. In the month of July in Delhi, more than 21 lakh 30 people were given corona vaccine. At the same time, till Thursday evening, 27 lakh 60 thousand people have been given corona vaccine this month. While most vaccination centers were also closed this month on three public holidays – Independence Day, Muharram and Raksha Bandhan.
