Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections (Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections Result 2022) Counting of votes is underway. Counting is going on in all 403 seats of UP amid tight security arrangements. In the initial trends, BJP has crossed the majority mark. In the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, all eyes are on the seats of religious cities like Ayodhya, Mathura, Kashi. Shrikant Sharma is leading from Mathura. At the same time, BJP candidate Ved Prakash Gupta is leading from Ayodhya. At present, Shrikant Sharma is the Energy Minister in the Yogi government. This time there is a contest between BJP candidate Shrikant Sharma and Congress candidate Pradeep Mathur in this seat.
Mathura Assembly seat (Mathura Assembly SeatCongress has nominated Pradeep Mathur as its candidate. Pradeep Mathur has been elected MLA for three consecutive terms from Mathura assembly seat. He has won from this seat in the 2002, 2007 and 2012 assembly elections. But in 2017 he had to face defeat. Now again he is being seen as a strong contender for this seat.
Shrikant Sharma is leading over Congress candidate Pradeep Mathur by more than 3900 votes. SK Sharma of Bahujan Samajwadi Party is third with 935 votes and Devendra Agarwal of Samajwadi Party is at number four with 271 votes.
BJP captured Mathura in 2017
In the 2017 assembly elections, BJP candidate Shrikant Sharma won from Mathura assembly seat. He got 143361 votes in the election, while Congress candidate Pradeep Mathur got 42200 votes. Shrikant Sharma won this election by a huge margin of 101161 votes.
There are a total of five assembly seats in Mathura district, in which Chhatra, Baldev, Govardhan, Mathura Sadar and Mant are seats. SP President Akhilesh Yadav has entered the electoral fray along with RLD President Jayant Chaudhary. SP is contesting on two seats in Mathura while RLD is in fray on three seats.
BJP candidate Ved Prakash Gupta leading from Ayodhya
Ayodhya has five assembly seats. Ayodhya district has five assembly seats: Dariyabad, Rudauli, Milkipur, Bikapur and Ayodhya. BJP candidate Ved Prakash Gupta is leading by 2100 votes from Ayodhya Assembly. Tej Narayan of Samajwadi Party is second with 2984 votes and Ravi Prakash of Bahujan Samaj Party is third with 353 votes.
After 1st round of counting in Noida Assembly seat of UP, BJP’s candidate Pankaj Singh is at first position with a difference of 3074 votes. On the other hand, SP’s candidate Sunil Chaudhary is at number two.
