Tejashwi Yadav did not attend Mamta’s meeting regarding the Presidential elections, even while in Delhi. RJD was represented by Manoj Jha in this meeting. Earlier, RJD has also agreed on the name of Nitish Kumar.

Leaders of 17 opposition parties including Trinamool Congress attended Mamata Banerjee’s meeting. It included Congress, CPI, CPI(M), CPIML, RSP, Shiv Sena, NCP, RJD, SP, National Conference, PDP, JD(S), DMK, RLD, IUML and JMM. Rajya Sabha MP Manoj Jha attended the meeting on behalf of RJD. Tejashwi Yadav had reached Delhi from Patna on Tuesday itself to attend this meeting held at the Constitution Club of Delhi. But at the last moment he decided not to attend the meeting.
Earlier, after Nitish Kumar’s name came out as a presidential candidate, RJD had said – There will be no greater happiness than that a face from Bihar gets a chance to become the President. Nitish Kumar is a worthy contender for this. If he is made the Presidential candidate, then RJD will have no objection to it.
Aam Aadmi Party also did the edge
While Tejashwi Yadav did not attend the meeting, on the other hand the Aam Aadmi Party has shunned. Along with this, Telangana CM KCR also did not attend this meeting. AAP said that a decision will be taken after the name of the candidate is revealed. So the AIMIM also did not participate in it. Asaduddin Owaisi said that he was not called, even if called, he would not have gone because of Congress’s involvement.
Trying to save democracy – Congress
Praful Patel, Yashwant Sinha, Dipankar Bhattacharya, Priyanka Chaturvedi, Kumaraswamy, Subhash Desai, Sharad Pawar, PC Chacko, Mehbooba Mufti, Surajewala, Manoj Jha, Omar Abdullah, Mallikarjan Kharge, Surjewala, Jairam Ramesh attended the meeting. Mallikarjun Kharge, who attended the meeting, said that he will do whatever has to be done to save democracy. He said that our aim is to fight against the Bharatiya Janata Party. After the meeting, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that today there were many parties here. We have decided that we will only elect a candidate with a consensus. everyone will support this candidate
