After this, the medical examination of the NCP leader was done at JJ Hospital and then he was presented in PMLA court. From where he has been sent to the custody of eight days. The ED had sought 14 days’ custody but the court granted them eight days’ custody. Meanwhile, a cabinet meeting was held at ‘Varsha’, the official residence of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. It was decided in this meeting that the resignation of Nawab Malik would not be accepted. On the other hand, the BJP has announced a state-wide protest on Thursday over Malik’s resignation.

He wrote, “There is silence for a while, then the noise will come… your only time is our time!!” He was arrested on Wednesday in a money laundering case involving fugitive underworld gangster Dawood Ibrahim. Nawab Malik was taken to the ED’s office in south Mumbai on Wednesday morning for questioning, after which he was later arrested.
The 62-year-old NCP leader was again taken to the hospital in the afternoon for a medical examination as per procedure. Fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim, his associates and their accomplices were produced in a special court in Mumbai after they were arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday afternoon in its money laundering probe into the activities of the Mumbai underworld. From here he was sent to custody till March 3.
