‘Non-Punjabi people given recruitment in Punjab Police’
During the press conference held in Chandigarh on Thursday, CM Charanjit Singh Channi had called Lakkha Sidhana as “Ji” on the issue of giving Punjab jobs to the youth of Punjab and said that Lakha Sidhana had Had met him a few days ago regarding the same issue. Sidhana told CM Channi that in the years 2014, 2016 and 2021, people coming from other states were recruited by killing the rights of Punjabi people. Sidhana, accused of Red Fort violence, said that during this period 5 DSP, 44 Inspector, 21 Sub-Inspector, 40 ASI, 15 Head Constable and 112 constables were brought from other states and appointed in Punjab Police. Impressed by Sidhana’s talk, CM Channi said that in the coming days, action will be taken regarding this. At the same time, on the issue of Punjabi language, the CM said that soon a law will be offered on this too.
