Our fight is against the ruling party (BJP).
The leader said, “Except Congress, almost all the parties have formed the government with the BJP. There is only one Congress party which is fighting against the party in power. No political alliance against BJP is possible in this country without us. Singh further said that ideology is the main reason for political conflicts in this country. He claimed, “There are two types of ideologies in India, one is of ‘Gandhi and Nehru’, the other is of ‘Sangh’ which uses religion as a weapon in politics.
‘BJP can be defeated only by coming together’
Digvijay Singh further said, Congress never used religion for politics. All parties need to understand that BJP can be defeated only by coming together. We all need to come together and fight against BJP. He said, ‘In Uttar Pradesh too only Priyanka Gandhi is fighting against BJP. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said after meeting Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar on Wednesday, ‘What is UPA? There is no UPA. The TMC chief’s statement on the UPA was made during his three-day visit to the Maharashtra capital, during which he met leaders of the NCP and Shiv Sena.
Mamta was on a two-day visit to Mumbai. On Wednesday, the last day of the tour, he had said that a national alternative against the BJP can be made only if the parties are ready to fight. Mamta also said that now there is no UPA (United Progressive Alliance) and hence the question does not arise that who will be the leader of UPA? ‘I broke ties with UPA in 2012’
Earlier, Digvijay Singh had said, if someone is fighting a battle on the streets in the country today, it is only Congress. There is only Rahul Gandhi who is fighting. Rahul Gandhi’s ideology is clear. Rahul asked which party other than Congress, which did not form government with Jan Sangh and RSS-BJP. Digvijay Singh said, all political parties have accepted that no alternative can be made without Congress. What Mamta said, we should not go into it. He broke ties with the UPA in 2012 itself.
