The Election Commission has issued this show-cause in the case of issuing license for stone mining on 88 decimil land in Anagada block of Ranchi district in the name of CM Hemant Soren.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren (CM Hemant Soren) the difficulties seem to be increasing. Election Commission of India (Election Commission Of India) has sent a notice to CM Hemant Soren in the stone quarry lease case and has sought an answer as to why action should not be taken against him in the mining lease case. According to the Election Commission, prima facie, this matter is a violation of Section 9A of the Representation of the People Act. Section 9A deals with disqualification from either House for Government contracts. According to sources, the representative of the Election Commission of New Delhi has handed over the notice at the residence of the Chief Minister on Kanke Road.
Former Chief Minister Raghuvar Das had complained to Soren
The Election Commission has issued this show-cause in the case of issuing license for stone mining on 88 decimil land in Anagada block of Ranchi district in the name of CM Hemant Soren. Raghuvar Das, the National Vice President of BJP and former Chief Minister of the state, had complained about this to Governor Ramesh Bais. After which the Governor had sought the opinion of the Election Commission of India on this complaint letter. After this, the commission had asked Jharkhand Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh to verify the documents provided in the case. The Chief Secretary had verified the documents and sent them on 26 April. On this basis, the commission has sent a notice to the Chief Minister.
Decision will be taken after CM’s reply
After getting the notice from the Election Commission of India, now everyone is waiting for the reply of the Chief Minister. After the reply of the CM, the Election Commission will give its destination to the Governor. The Governor will decide on the basis of the commission’s intention. At the same time, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha had claimed in a press conference a few days ago that taking mining lease of CM Hemant Soren does not come under the purview of Section 9A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. He had said that under a conspiracy, BJP leaders have tried to create a wrong impression among the public on this issue. JMN said that there are apprehensions that the Election Commission may take a unilateral decision against Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the face of political pressure from the ruling BJP at the Centre.
Chief Minister in Hyderabad
CM Hemant Soren is in Hyderabad since last week for his mother’s treatment. It is being told that his mother’s health is now improving. The CM went from Hyderabad to attend the conference of Chief Ministers and Judges of High Courts held in Delhi. Then came back to Hyderabad from there. CM Soren can come back to Ranchi in the next day or two.
