Shiv Sena and BJP (BJP vs Shiv SenaSanjay Raut had tweeted about the initial references to the alliance between An old cartoon of RK Laxman, published in The Times of India, was included in that tweet. Poonam Mahajan got furious with Sanjay Raut tweeting this cartoon. Regarding this, he lodged his displeasure on social media today (January 25, Tuesday). After this, Sanjay Raut also while talking to reporters said that I did not make the cartoon, then why did you get angry? Along with this, Sanjay Raut also said that where are you in BJP today?
Even though Sanjay Raut later deleted the tweet in view of Poonam Mahajan’s anger, he did not forget to reiterate the message of the tweet in the conversation with the journalists that Balasaheb Thackeray had done a favor to the BJP by forming an alliance. Showing his big heart, he allied with BJP to save Hindu votes from being divided. He reiterated today that the first to raise the issue of Hindutva is not the BJP, but the Shiv Sena. He reminded that the first election was fought by Shiv Sena on the issue of Hindutva.

In the cartoon he shared with this caption, Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray is seen sitting on a chair. His feet are placed on the chair in front. A stool is placed nearby and Balasaheb Thackeray asks Pramod Mahajan to sit. Being the daughter of late Pramod Mahajan, this thing disturbed BJP MP Poonam Mahajan. He expressed his displeasure on social media.

In response to this, Sanjay Raut said, ‘Have I made that cartoon? … didn’t even delete that tweet. Where he had to reach, he has reached. Pramod Mahajan is standing in front of Balasaheb in that cartoon. That was the initial period of alliance with BJP. Yesterday the BJP leader of Maharashtra (Devendra Fadnavis) had shared this cartoon to show the reality of the statement. RK Laxman was a neutral cartoonist. He did not belong to any party. I did not make any personal comment on Pramod Mahajan. So there should be no reason to be angry over this. If there is anything wrong with this cartoon then objection should have been raised 35-40 years ago.
Let us tell you that yesterday Devendra Fadnavis had said in the PC that Shiv Sena moved ahead with the support of BJP. Today, leaving the support of BJP, it has come from number one to number four. Devendra Fadnavis had also said that Shiv Sena leaders used to fight elections in the name of BJP. He had said that when Shiv Sena did not even exist, then BJP had become a corporator in Mumbai.

Sanjay Raut, questioning the condition of today’s generation of veteran BJP leaders said, “Gopinath Munde, Pramod Mahajan, Manohar Parrikar, these three families have a big contribution in taking the BJP forward. But where is their next generation today? Where is Poonam Mahajan today, I don’t know. I have to ask him this.’ At the same time, he also said that he has a good relationship with the Mahajan family.

Sanjay Raut reminds history that the first election on the issue of Hindutva was fought by Shiv Sena and won. He said, “For the first time in the Vile Parle by-election in Mumbai, Shiv Sena had contested on the issue of Hindutva. Balasaheb had campaigned only with the issue of Hindutva. Congress was not only in opposition, BJP was also in opposition. Still Shiv Sena won. The new leaders of BJP (Neo Hindutvawadis) do not know history. Someone has torn those pages of history for them.
