Yoga day will be organized in all public places
International Yoga Day celebrations will also be organized at health centres, police headquarters, state jails and all public places in the state. The state government said that International Yoga Day will be celebrated at 75 major places of religious, tourist, historical and educational importance like the White Desert of Kutch, Modhera Sun Temple, Sabarmati Riverfront and Statue of Unity. The Gujarat State Yoga Board had also organized a free yoga camp in Ahmedabad on Sunday to take stock of the preparations for the event. Governor Acharya Devvrat, CM Bhupendra Patel and Yoga Guru Ramdev were present on the occasion.
Health Minister Mandaviya will lead the Yoga Day from the Statue of Unity
It is worth noting that Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will lead the International Day of Yoga from the Statue of Unity. The country is celebrating the 75th year of independence in the spirit of the elixir of freedom. 75 iconic sites have been selected for International Day of Yoga. The Statue of Unity in Kevadiya, Gujarat is also one of them.
Why is International Yoga Day celebrated only on 21st June?
