In Bihar, seven members of the Legislative Council are retiring next month. After which there will be voting to fill these vacant posts on June 20. Thursday is the last day of nomination. RJD candidates have already filed their nominations on three seats.
RJD candidate Munni Devi in discussion
Mohammad Qari Sohaib, Munni Rajak and Ashok Pandey have been made candidates from RJD’s side. The three RJD candidates filed their nomination papers on Monday. During this, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav were also present. Among the three candidates of Lalu Prasad, Munni Devi is the most discussed. RJD candidate Munni Devi, who lived by washing clothes, attacked the opponents as soon as she filed her nomination, Munni Devi said that I am a washerman. I will wash away the communal forces by tossing them in the house just as I wash my clothes.
Congress can spoil the game
After the announcement of the names of candidates of RJD, BJP and JDU, the names of seven candidates have come out for the elections to be held on seven seats. After this, if any other party or any independent candidate does not file nomination, then the candidates will win unopposed in all the seven seats. If, apart from these seven, any other candidate files nomination, then voting will be conducted. It is being said here that Congress is preparing to field its candidate. Congress has claimed that 15 MLAs of other party are in touch with them. Congress has 19 MLAs in Bihar. 31 votes are needed to win in MLC election.
