Jakhar won two gold

Jakhar won the gold medal in the men’s 10m air pistol with a world record at the Croatia 2019 World Cup. Last year’s Paralympics Games Rahul had made it to the final of the P3 mixed 25m pistol SH1 event but could not win a medal. He finished fifth. Thirty-five years old Jakhar was eliminated after the end of the seventh series in the finals.
Indian shooters were in trouble due to non-receipt of visa
Earlier, the pair of Manish Narwal and Rubina, Ramakrishna and Avani Lekhara won gold medals for India. There was a lot of controversy before the tournament. Six players, including Avani Lekhara, did not get visas. After this, after the intervention of the Ministry of Sports and the Ministry of External Affairs, the players got visas, due to which these players were able to reach the tournament on time.
Avani won gold with world record
After Avni’s tweet, the Sports Ministry took cognizance of the matter and got visas for the players. Earlier, she was on the verge of being ruled out of the tournament as her coach and assistant were not initially granted visas. Won the gold medal in the women’s 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1 event with a world record of 250.6 points. Twenty-year-old Avani broke her own world record of 249.6 to qualify for the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games.
