Will give boost to dairy industry
Gehlot said, “The state government intends to give a big boost to animal husbandry along with agriculture. It will be our endeavor that more and more milk collection centers and refrigeration centers should be opened in the districts.” He said that meaningful efforts should be made to promote and preserve the improved breeds of milch animals so that Rajasthan becomes the top state in the field of milk production.
He said that farmers should take advantage of the policies of the state government to set up more and more food processing units and add value to their produce and prepare them for export, which will increase their income and make them happy. The Chief Minister said, “In view of the scarcity of water and the depleting groundwater level in the state, the state government is promoting drip and sprinkler irrigation system. Farmers should play their part in water conservation by making maximum use of them.
Separate power company made for agriculture sector
He said, “It will be our endeavor that there should be a separate power company for the agriculture sector. The government is aware of the problems faced by the farmers due to waking up overnight for irrigation.” He said that now in 15 districts, farmers are getting electricity during the day, our effort is to develop transmission system and increase the availability of electricity. Adequate availability should be ensured.
