Now soon the subsidy on LPG LPG will be available only to the economically weak people.
LPG Gas Subsidy: Now soon the subsidy on LPG LPG will be available only to the economically weak people. Actually, according to sources, the government is preparing to issue new guidelines for LPG LPG subsidy. An announcement on this can be made in the next year’s budget. After this, the subsidy on LPG LPG will be given only to the people coming from the weaker economic class.
Apart from this, under these new guidelines, the government proposes that the oil companies will bear the burden of sudden increase in prices. Only oil companies like HPCL, BPCL and IOC will compensate for the loss in case of price drop. At present, there is a difference of around Rs 250 between the price and the actual price in the market.
Also preparing for huge cut in LPG subsidy
Along with this, the government is also preparing for a huge cut in LPG subsidy in the next budget. For this, the Petroleum Ministry has prepared a proposal related to subsidy. Under this, the Petroleum Ministry has demanded a subsidy of only Rs 6000 crore. Let us tell you that the government has allocated 14,073 crore under subsidy for the financial year 2022. This new proposal regarding subsidy will be sent to the Finance Ministry by the last week of November. Let us tell you that since one year the government is not giving LPG subsidy to the customers.
The government, under its PAHAL (DBTL) scheme, ensures that the subsidy for all LPG cylinders is directly transferred to the customer’s Aadhaar linked bank accounts. Subsidy is available on 12 cylinders in a year. Under some schemes, this subsidy is given to customers even without Aadhar card. Households earning more than Rs 10 lakh per annum do not get gas subsidy.
