What did the experts say?
Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst (Commodity) at HDFC Securities said that the spot gold price in the Delhi market is trading at Rs 58,740 per 10 grams. There has been a decline of Rs 110 per 10 grams in this.
Gandhi further said that the price of Komax spot gold is trading at $ 1,962 an ounce, down by 0.60 per cent. Talking about the global market, gold is trading at $ 1,978.80 an ounce in New York, down 0.58 percent.
Prices in futures trade
At the same time, gold prices fell by Rs 256 to Rs 58,786 in futures trade on Wednesday. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for delivery in April were trading at Rs 58,786, down by Rs 256, or 0.43 per cent. This price is for a business turnover of 2,640 lots.
On the other hand, silver futures declined by Rs 260 to Rs 70,324 per kg. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for delivery in May declined by Rs 260, or 0.37 per cent, to Rs 70,324 per kg in a business turnover of 14,023 lots. Looking at the global market, silver is trading at $ 23.26 an ounce in New York, down 0.68 per cent.
At the same time, experts have said that the overall trend for gold is positive. But it will be difficult to cross the limit of $ 2,000 an ounce. It has been given support of Rs 58,500 per 10 grams and then Rs 58,000 per 10 grams.
