What is National Data Policy?
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has introduced the National Data Governance Policy in the budget. This will help in accessing anonymous data. The government aims to set up 100 labs in engineering institutes to develop apps using 5G services. This decision of the government will give a boost to the concept of smart classroom. New opportunities will come to enable wider access to education.
The purpose of the data center is to increase the availability of data of national importance, besides improving the compliance of confidential policies and standards, besides making common citizens more aware, ensuring their association with the relevant subject and concern.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology released a draft of this policy in May 2022 for public consultation. Under the Digital India Corporation, India Data Management Office (IDMO) was set up and some guidelines were prepared for sharing of non-personal data by private entities.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the budget Digi Locker The aim is to expand the service of The Finance Minister has said, Digi Locker service and Aadhaar will be developed to match and update the identity and address of individuals created by various government agencies, regulators and regulated entities.
The Finance Minister said that the scope of documents available in DigiLocker for individuals will be increased. Under this, all digital infrastructure including Aadhaar, PM Jan Dhan Yojana, Video KYC, India Stack and UPI have been facilitated for fintech services.
When did Digi Locker start?
DigiLocker was launched by PM Modi in July 2015 and is the official online digital document storage platform of the government. So far this platform has been largely available only to individuals. Now under the new initiative, digital documents will also be made available to businesses.
National Digital Library
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has opened new doors for the study of children and adolescent age people in her budget proposal. He has also announced the creation of a National Digital Library to increase access to high quality books. Actually the government wants to bring digital revolution in the education sector.
