Cryptocurrency News: Now more than 85 thousand merchants in Switzerland are taking payment in these cryptocurrencies

Cryptocurrency payments are now being accepted by over 85,000 merchants in Switzerland from their customers via Worldline and Bitcoin Suisse. Worldline is a French company that provides payment and transaction services. Whereas Bitcoin Suisse is a crypto financial services company based in Switzerland.

In an August 19 press release, Bitcoin Suisse announced an integrated service called WL Crypto Payments. This omni-channel payment solution will allow all merchants using the Worldline Payment Service to accept payments in Bitcoin and Ether. Merchants will be able to accept payments in Bitcoin and Ether at point-of-sale (POS) and e-commerce services.

To use this payment service, merchants only need to download the WL Crypto Payments mobile app. They can also install the Worldline Payments plug-in for their online store.

Customers wishing to make payments through digital coins can use the mobile cryptocurrency wallet application for the same. Prices shown in Swiss Francs (CHF) will be shown in real-time Bitcoin (BTC) or Ether (ETH) values depending on the options selected by the client. The price to be paid in cryptocurrencies can be confirmed to the merchant immediately.

The transaction is claimed to be protected from volatility risks, as it will be securely converted to CHF once the payment is confirmed. This payment solution was successfully tested in a pilot program before being rolled out to all Worldline merchants in Switzerland. Worldline and Bitcoin Suisse first came together on crypto payments in November 2019.

The companies intend to “reinforce Switzerland’s leading position as a strong center in the crypto-financial services industry,” according to a 2019 press release. Switzerland has over 800 companies that provide services or develop solutions for crypto and blockchain companies and is a bustling center of cryptocurrency development.

Marc Schluep, MD, Worldline Switzerland, said the project exists in line with its goal of operating the firm “to bring real value to merchants around the world and to facilitate smooth and modern payments in all markets”.

Bitcoin Suisse CEO Dr. Arthur Viloyan called it “a historic milestone for crypto adoption in Switzerland and beyond”, adding that the move proved once again that Switzerland was a leader in collaborative innovation and the crypto and blockchain industry. was also a leader.<!–
