The Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi has given its approval for the budget allocation for the Smart Healthcard scheme. During the top meeting held at the Delhi Secretariat on Tuesday, after deliberating on various aspects of this scheme, the cabinet gave its approval to its budget. Under the smart card scheme, a card will be made for all the citizens of Delhi. Through this, they will be able to get treatment in any hospital in Delhi. Through a chip in this card, a complete record of the person’s health will be kept and when people take health services from a new doctor, they will get complete information through it. This plan is being described as a very revolutionary step.
Smart health card will also be a card like Voter ID card. In this, complete information about treatment and health will be safe. This information will also be kept secure on the cloud so that there will be no possibility of the information kept in it being lost or corrupted. Adequate security arrangements have also been made in it so that the information kept safe in the card cannot be used in any way. Children’s smart cards will be made on the basis of their parents’ cards.
First registration will have to be done for temporary e-health card
Citizens of Delhi will have to first register themselves with their family members to get the temporary e-health card. Citizens will be issued a temporary e-health card for a period of 01 year after pre-registration and it will be converted into a permanent (PVC) card after validating the citizen details through survey and subsequently updating all the required data. will be converted.
The Kejriwal government is working on implementing Health Information Management System (HIMS) in all government hospitals to further strengthen the health infrastructure of Delhi. This will improve the overall health system in Delhi. Under HIMS, the Department of Health and Family Welfare will issue demographic details and health cards (digital identification) to each and every citizen of Delhi.
