Bitcoin was recently adopted by El Salvador as a legal tender earlier this month. However, this first step into the world was beset with initial problems, as the citizens did not believe in it and their anger erupted over it. At the same time, there were technical glitches in its implementation and the prices of the cryptocurrency also fell. Due to which this roll out had a very bad effect.
The government’s Chivo app was not able to handle such a big roll out. At the same time, the app was also not available on the platforms on Huawei and Apple. After that, the exercise to run it properly started and the situation was brought under control. Huawei started making it available later. But when the app proved unable to handle user registrations, the government unplugged it to connect to more servers and increase its capacity.
