All skin types require exfoliation. Oats can be used for exfoliation. Oats work to clean the pores of the skin through exfoliation. It works to open the pores. It helps to remove acne and also reduce blackheads. The anti-inflammatory properties of oats protect the skin from dryness caused by the UV rays of the sun. Oats contain a good amount of vitamin E, which is an anti-oxidant. It also helps in retaining moisture of the skin. You can make many types of scrubs from oats.
Simple Oats Face Scrub – For this face scrub, first we have to prepare oats powder. To make oats powder, put 2-3 tbsp whole oats in a food processor or grinder. Take it out and mix it with a little warm water. Wait till it cools down a bit. Apply it all over the face as well as the neck. Using your fingers, gently massage in circular motions for a few minutes. Leave it on for about 5 to 10 minutes. After that wash off with fresh water. You can use it 2-3 times a week.
Oats and rose water face scrub Make a powder of oats by grinding 2 teaspoons of oats. Take it out and add some rose water to it. Mix together to prepare oats face scrub. Apply it all over the face and neck and massage gently in circular motions with your fingers for a few minutes. Leave the scrub on the skin for 5-8 minutes. Wash off with fresh water. You can apply it 2-3 times a week.
Oats and Aloe Vera Face Scrub Make a powder of oats by grinding raw oats. Take 1-2 teaspoon oats powder in a bowl and add some fresh aloe vera gel to it. Mix together and apply this homemade oats face scrub all over the face and neck. Gently massage with your fingertips in a circular motion to exfoliate the skin. Once done, leave on for 5-10 minutes before rinsing off with cool, fresh water. Repeat this once every 2-3 days.
Oats and honey face scrub Make oatmeal powder by adding 1 to 2 tbsp of raw oats in a food processor or grinder. Take a spoonful of oats powder in a bowl and mix the required amount of honey in it. Add some water to it and mix. Apply it all over the face as well as the neck and massage gently with your fingers in circular motions for a few minutes. Leave it on the skin for 5-8 minutes before washing it off with fresh water. This oats face scrub can be applied twice or thrice a week.
