Pooja (symbolic photo)
Various fruits, flowers and prasad are offered to all the deities in Hinduism. Similarly, the use of asanas in worship has special significance and there are some rules related to it, which are not known to everyone.
In Hinduism, many rules have been laid down regarding the recitation of worship. Different mantras are chanted, fruits, flowers and prasad are offered for the worship of each deity. All these things have their own importance. Special importance of all these things has been told in the scriptures. Many people worship by sitting on the ground, but it is not considered right to do so from a religious point of view. All of us should do pooja recitation sitting on the easy side. It has some special rules that not everyone is aware of.
Worshiping by laying a blanket or a woolen seat is considered to be the best. In the same scriptures, different colored asanas have special significance. It is considered best to worship Hanuman ji and Mother Durga on a red colored seat. At the same time, the posture made of Kush is best for mantra siddhi. But Kush should not be used while performing Shradh.
rules of posture
One should never use the posture of another person while worshiping.
Do not leave the seat here and there after using it. This disrespects the posture.
The seat of worship should always be lifted with clean hands and fixed in the right way.
Do not get up straight from the seat after worshiping. First, take water from Aachman and offer it on the ground and bow down to the earth.
Do not use the seat of worship for any other work.
After worshiping your Ishta Dev, keep the seat of worship in its right place.
There is not only religious but also scientific importance behind laying the asana. Actually the earth has magnetic force i.e. gravity. When a person meditates and chants special mantras, a positive energy is generated inside him. If you have not placed any seat, then this energy gets absorbed in the earth and you do not get any benefit. Therefore, it is considered necessary to lay a seat during the worship.
Note- The information given here is based on religious beliefs and folk beliefs, there is no scientific evidence for this. It has been presented here keeping in mind the general public interest.
