Prime Minister Sinchai Yojana- Pradhan Mantri Sinchai Yojana was launched in the year 2015. Which has now been extended for two years. Let us tell you that the farmers should not be short of water while doing farming. That is why the Pradhan Mantri Irrigation Scheme was started. The central government has allocated 50 thousand crore rupees for this scheme.
For irrigation by sprinkler method, 80 to 90 percent of the government cost is rebate. Irrigation can be done by this method without leveling the field. This method is becoming very effective on slopes or low altitudes.
Who can take advantage of Prime Minister’s Irrigation Scheme
To take advantage of this scheme, farmers should have cultivable land. The eligible beneficiaries of this scheme will be farmers of all sections of the country.
Under PM Krishi Sinchai Yojana, benefits will also be provided to members of Self Help Groups, Trusts, Co-operative Societies, Incorporated Companies, members of Producer Farmers’ Groups and members of other eligible institutions.
The benefits of PM Krishi Irrigation Scheme 2021 will be available to those institutions and beneficiaries who cultivate that land under the Lease Agreement for a minimum of seven years. This eligibility can also be achieved through contract farming.

In the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approval has been given to take forward the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana. Now this scheme has been extended till the year 2025-26.
