One such news is circulating on social media platforms nowadays, in which it has been claimed that the central government is preparing to lease 100 historical sites including the Taj Mahal. The government has now given its clarification regarding this and this claim has been investigated by the team of PIB Fact Check.

PIB told the truth by tweeting
PIB tweeted on this and wrote that in a social media post it is being claimed that 100 heritage sites including Taj Mahal will be given on lease by the government. In PIB Fact Check this claim has been found to be fake. No such decision has been taken by the Ministry of Arts and Culture to lease heritage sites.

Congress attacked the government
The Congress party attacked the government strongly on the matter of leasing historical sites.
