In the video, Dhirendra Shastri was informing about a Tiranga Yatra planned for August 15th in Hyderabad. However, he mistakenly referred to August 15th as Republic Day instead of Independence Day. Due to this video of him, netizens are trolling Dhirendra Shastri a lot and reacting fiercely in the comment section.

In the video, he talked about the Tiranga Yatra happening on the auspicious occasion of Republic Day 2023, which is August 15th, at 10 am in Begambazar, Chhatri, Bhagyanagar, Hyderabad. He mistakenly told 15 August when Independence Day is celebrated as Republic Day.
People react differently to this
After the video circulated, people started mocking him for his major blunder. Some criticised him, saying that he talks about a Hindu nation but doesn’t even know Independence Day’s date. Others thought it might have been mistake in the announcement. On the other hand, some defended Dhirendra Shastri, saying that anyone can make a simple mistake like this and there’s no need to make a big issue about it.

Laddu Singh, the president of Bhagat Singh Yuva Sena, explained that they organise the Tiranga Yatra every year on Independence Day. This time, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri was supposed to start the march. For the unversed, Dhirendra Shastri often promotes Hindu ideologies , and faced criticism in the past due to his thoughts and views.
