Nandigram MLA and Leader of Opposition in Bengal Legislative Assembly Shubhendu Adhikari will meet PM Narendra Modi at 12 noon today. On the first day of the two-day Delhi tour, Shubhendu Adhikari met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence yesterday. He also met BJP’s All India President JP Nadda and talked about the law and order situation in Bengal. He had said, “The situation in Bengal is worse than because of the issue of Article 357. “
A round of speculation had started in the political arena after Shubhendu Adhikari was called to Delhi overnight. Shubhendu had reached Delhi at 11 pm the day before. Yesterday morning, Shubhendu Adhikari had met Mansuv Mandaviya, considered close to Gujarat leader Narendra Modi. Analysts say that this meeting was very important from a political point of view.
Discussion on the law and order of Bengal
After that Shubhendu went to Adhikari Amit Shah’s house, but the meeting lasted less than fifteen minutes. Later, only a tweet from Amit Shah’s office informed about the meeting. After that Shubhendu Adhikari said, “The situation in Bengal was discussed with the Home Minister.” However, on Tuesday, the internal discord within the BJP came to the fore. BJP state president Dilip Ghosh had publicly said that he does not know why Shubhendu Adhikari has been called to Delhi. While Dilip Ghoshra was meeting in Hastings in protest against the attack on party workers, on the other hand, Shubhendu was meeting at Amit Shah’s house.
Other BJP MPs will also go to Delhi
Meanwhile, Rajiv Banerjee, who left the TMC and joined the BJP, said on social media, “The people of Bengal are not taking the criticism of the elected government well, the party to which the public has brought huge public support. It is not right to criticize that government.
Meanwhile, three BJP MPs Arjun Singh, Nishith Adhikari and Saumitra Khan will visit Delhi this evening. Sources say that these leaders are also likely to meet the central leaders.
