There have also been allegations of firing. For the rescue, the police resorted to mild lathi charge and fired tear gas shells. After the imposition of Section 144, strict instructions have been given to the police to restore peace, but there is no effect on the protesters. Thousands of people from the Muslim community present on the streets are protesting furiously. Thousands of vehicles are parked on both sides of the roads and people are stuck in traffic for hours.
