Police sources said that both were residents of Murshidabad district of West Bengal. They have been identified as Shafikul Sheikh and Parula Bibi. Both had a love marriage four months back. Police found the bodies of both of them hanging from the noose on Wednesday night. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem. On the other hand, after reaching this information in Murshidabad, there has been an uproar in the area.
Shikaripada station in-charge Naval Kishore Singh said that according to preliminary information, there used to be frequent quarrels between husband and wife and before committing suicide, Shafikul Sheikh had told his mother on the phone that both were going to commit suicide. He told that on the basis of the phone conversation, Shafikul’s brother reached Jamkandar along with some other people and saw the husband and wife hanging from the noose. The police is investigating the matter. The reasons for the suicide are not yet known.
Ration dealer was murdered in Dumka
On the other hand, a case of murder of a ration dealer has come to light in Dumka district on Thursday. The incident happened near Dhanve village, just one kilometer away from Hansdiha police station area. The deceased has been identified as Saroj Mandal. It was being told that Saroj, a ration dealer by profession, was going to his house on a bike on Wednesday night. During this, the criminals attacked him. After getting information about the incident, the police team reached the spot. The investigation has been started by taking the dead body in his possession.
Police is searching for the killers
Efforts are being made by the police to identify the killers with the help of CCTV installed around the spot. Apart from this, statements of people living nearby are being recorded. So far no clear information has been received about the reasons for the murder. Police is also questioning the family members of the victim. Let us tell you that there has been an increase in criminal activities in Dumka. Since then, questions are being raised about the police and administration.
