Before the 2024 elections, the discussion about Uniform Civil Code (UCC) has intensified. There is a lot of discussion about this in BJP ruled states.
Meanwhile, Uttarakhand is going to become the first state in the country where Uniform Civil Code will be implemented. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced this. Now some things have come to light regarding the Uniform Civil Code, which is going to be implemented in Uttarakhand, in which it has been told that what will happen under this law and what rights will be taken away for violation.
According to the information revealed, population control has also been included in the Uniform Civil Code which is going to be implemented in Uttarakhand. It is being included on the basis of Entry 20A of the Concurrent List. Apart from population control, family planning is also included in this. It will be included in the Uniform Civil Code on the lines of the Responsible Parenthood bill 2018 introduced in the Parliament.
The provisions that have come out under this law are very strict. Under this bill, people who violate the rule of two children will not be given the right to vote. Apart from this, the right to government facilities can also be taken away. This decision has been taken in view of the rapidly changing demography of Uttarakhand.
CM Dhami announced
In Uttarakhand, the BJP had included the Uniform Civil Code in its election manifesto. After the formation of the government, the work on which has started. Now CM Dhami has told that it can be implemented soon. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had reached the “Enlightenment Conference” organized in the capital Dehradun, where CM Pushkar Singh Dhami made this announcement. During this, Rajnath Singh also called UCC necessary for a better society and nation. CM Dhami claimed that UCC is getting full support of the people of the state. He said that UCC is not for any particular class but for the general public. We are bringing this for the upliftment of all.
