‘Thanks to Akhilesh Yadav’
Jayant Chaudhary thanked SP chief Akhilesh Yadav for sending him to the Upper House after the nomination. Said that he respected them. Chaudhary said that he would continue to raise farmers’ issues in the Upper House. It is worth mentioning that in the assembly elections held in the state, the RLD had an alliance with the SP and this time the party has managed to win eight seats. Whereas in the 2017 assembly elections, the RLD had won just one seat and later its MLA joined the BJP.
Voting on June 10
Let us tell you, May 31 is the last date for nominations for 11 seats in the state. While the Rajya Sabha elections are to be held on June 10. SP has fielded three candidates from its quota and all the candidates have filed their nominations. Today SP and RLD candidate Jayant Chaudhary has filed nomination.
