RSS leader Dattatreya Hosballe
In the book launch of Ram Madhav, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale Dattatreya Hosabale said on Friday that the countries around the world were either on the left side or were moving towards the left but now the situation has come like this. That now you have to go to the right. It is good that when you come from the left side to the right side, then at least you will come and stand in the center.
He said, the idea that Deendayal ji had was the idea of basic self-contemplation of this country. It was based on the core of the thought of modern India from the Vedic period. Hindutva teaches that one has to take the best among all.
He said, people tell us that you are a rightist, your idea is a rightist, but we have many such ideas which are influenced by the Left. We need to break out of the colonial mindset. Western civilization is wrong, we don’t say so but many policies imposed by them in Indian perspective are wrong.
In this episode, Dattatreya Hosabale said that the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court has said just a few days ago that the Indian judicial system does not suit this country. Why did he say so? Because the colonial impression is there.
‘Space for left and right views’
Dattatreya Hosabale said, the essence of Hindutva is to take the best from every corner and adapt it to one’s needs, environment and life. Hosbale said, “I am from the RSS, we never said in our discourses in Sangh training camps that we are right-wing, many of our views are like left-wing views.” The RSS leader said there is room for views from both the left and the right, as these are “human experiences”.
He said, “There is no full stop in Indian tradition, calling it left or right is appropriate for current geopolitics. West and East are not completely like this, we have never said in our discourse that we are right wing. Many of our views are like leftist ideas. The geographical or political divisions are East and West which have blurred, dimmed and melted after liberalisation, privatization and globalisation. “
