Can private companies also get their employees vaccinated?
Such demand is coming from the corporate sector in many cities of the country including Mumbai. According to Dr. Hemant Thakkar of Bridge Candy Hospital, Mumbai, earlier the government had full control over production and distribution, but now it has been relaxed. The government has clarified that companies will give 50 percent of the vaccine production to the central government and can sell the remaining 50 percent in the market. State governments can also demand directly from companies. In such a situation, there is a possibility that private companies can also run parallel vaccination drives for their workers with the help of nursing homes or private hospitals. It is also important.
Let us know that in the first phase, vaccines were being given to people with high risk zone above 45 years of age. In the second phase, more than 45 years of age, all people were vaccinated. And now in the third phase from May 1, 18+ people have also been included in the vaccination drive.
