For the last three-and-a-half months in Delhi, the number of corona virus infection cases being less than 100 daily is due to the continuous vaccination process and a large number of people already infected with COVID-19. This is the opinion of the experts. On June 29, 101 cases of infection were reported in the national capital and four people died.

According to official figures, since then the number of cases has been less than 100. Only five deaths have been reported in Delhi last month due to COVID-19 – one each on September 7, 16 and 17 and two deaths on September 28.

According to official figures, so far two people have died due to COVID-19 in Delhi this month. The death toll due to corona virus in the metropolis is 25,089.

Fewer cases coming due to vaccination

LNJP Medical Director Dr. Suresh Kumar said that the reason for the low number of cases is the continuous vaccination process, but he advised not to be lax. He said, “Vaccination is going on very aggressively in Delhi. A large number of people have already been infected with the virus. But we cannot hesitate. The next two-three months are crucial. If we take precautions, we can avoid a possible third wave.

There will be a tough test in Diwali

Dr. Rajesh Chawla, senior doctor of Indraprastha Apollo Hospital said that “Diwali festival is a tough test.” He said, “A large number of people have been vaccinated. Many people have already been infected. This is a stagnation in the number of infections. Sporadic people are still getting infected. But I haven’t seen a single case in the last one month.

He said, “If this pattern continues after Diwali, then we have controlled the infection. Diwali is the time of strict examination and we have to follow the COVID rules.” In April and May, there was a dangerous second wave of the epidemic in Delhi, in which a large number of people died and people were suffering due to lack of oxygen in hospitals. Had to face many problems.
