After the Uttarakhand High Court lifted the ban on Chardham Yatra, a crowd of devotees was seen in the yatra that started on Saturday. According to the Char Dham Devasthanam Board, thousands of devotees from all over the country have made bookings expressing their desire to come to Uttarakhand to visit Kedarnath. In such a situation, the Char Dham Devasthanam Board has completed the booking for the next 12 days for darshan in Kedarnath Dham. Also, on September 18, 10,000 e-passes were issued to the devotees for darshan. Similarly, 4,830 e-passes have also been issued for Badrinath Dham. It is worth noting that after registration, e-passes will be issued to the passengers coming for darshan in Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. Only after that permission will be given to visit all the four Dhams.
Actually, for visiting Chardham, travelers coming from outside the state will also have to compulsorily register on the Smart City Portal. After 15 days of applying the second dose of corona vaccine, travel will be allowed on showing the certificate. But it has been made mandatory for passengers coming from Kerala, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh to test negative for 72 hours after getting both the doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Registration will have to be done for Chardham Yatra
It is noteworthy that Secretary Dharmaswa Harichandra Semwal issued the SOP of Chardham Yatra. Meanwhile, the Chardham Devasthanam Management Board has also issued SOP. The same rules are applicable in both the SOPs. The operation of the yatra in Chardham will start from September 18. In this journey, unconditional permission will be given to the passengers coming from the state and outside. To visit the four dhams, travelers will first have to register on the website of the Devasthanam Board. After which a limited number of daily e-passes will be issued by the Devasthanam Board. Also, the e-pass of the passengers will be checked before visiting the main gate of the temple campus.
