Before the upcoming assembly elections in Uttarakhand, the process of defection of MLAs and leaders has started. In this episode, today minister Yashpal Arya joined the Congress (Yashpal Arya Join Congress) in the Dhami government, which is being considered a big setback for the BJP. At the same time, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami reacted and said that no one can stop the one who goes. Dhami further said that leaving the party will not make any difference to the party.

In fact, today Transport Minister Yashpal Arya has joined Congress in Delhi along with his son Nainital MLA Sanjeev Arya. During this, both the leaders joined the Congress party in the presence of former CM Harish Rawat, state in-charge Devendra Yadav, Congress State Committee State President Ganesh Godiyal, National General Secretary-Organization KC Venugopal, National Spokesperson Randeep Surjewala.

Arya’s personal interests must have come in the way: Dhami

On leaving the BJP, Transport Minister Yashpal Arya in the government, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that how far no one will be able to stop the one who goes, no one can stop the one who goes. On the question of BJP weakening due to Arya’s departure, Dhami said that BJP is standing very strongly in Uttarakhand. The party will not make any difference if someone leaves. Dhami also said that in BJP the country comes first, then the organization and the individual comes last. Arya’s personal interests may have come in the way and that is probably why he has joined the Congress. Dhami further said that in addition to giving him due respect in the BJP, he was also given the important responsibility of the Transport Department in the Uttarakhand government.

Actually Arya has 6 departments – Transport, Social Welfare, Minority Welfare, Students Welfare, Election and Excise Department. While Sanjeev Arya is his son. Yashpal Arya is the MLA from Bajpur and his son Sanjeev Arya is the MLA from Nainital seat. Both the leaders left the Congress and joined the BJP in the year 2017. After which BJP had made both of them candidates in the assembly elections. Father and son also won from BJP party.
