Both the sisters, as per the wish of their late father, donated the land (Land Donate) Of. At the same time, the head of Idgah committee of Kashipur area, Hasin Khan said that we have started construction of a boundary wall on the land. This is a great work of these sisters in such an environment, when our country is battling with communal frenzy.

The Idgah will be located near a bridge over the Dhela river in Beljudi village. The committee already has about four acres of land. Where about 20,000 Muslims offered prayers during the Eid festival this week. The sisters’ father, Late Lala Brijanandan Prasad Rastogi, owned land adjacent to the site of the Idgah and was known to respect all religions. He wanted to donate land and help foster a stronger relationship between Hindus and Muslims, but he died in 2003 before he could do so.

Before death, the land was divided between daughter and son

According to the Hindustan Times report, Lala Brijanandan Prasad Rastogi divided his land between his sons and daughters before his death. The land he wanted to donate had come to his daughters Saroj and Anita Rastogi. Presently, Saroj lives with their respective families in Meerut and Anita Delhi in UP. The two reached Jaspur on Sunday, 19 years after their father passed away and approached the head of the Kashipur Idgah committee to transfer the land after due process by the revenue officials.

Daughter fulfilled her father’s dream

Saroj Rastogi (62 years) said that we did not do anything, only donated the land as per the wish of our father. He was a big hearted person and respected all religions. Every year he used to donate some amount to the Idgah committee for the arrangements for offering Namaz. We have donated the land given to him this time. However, land rates are skyrocketing these days and land could have given us a good one. But it was our father’s wish, so we fulfilled our father’s wish by donating the land with a good heart. He said that we (sisters) were discussing for a long time how to fulfill our father’s wish. Eventually both fixed a date and reached Kashipur.

On the other hand, Rakesh Rastogi, brother of Saroj and Anita said that the land was donated as per the wish of our father, I have nothing to say in this regard. I respect my father’s wish.

Now stone will be laid on the ground in the name of late Lal ji

Hasin Khan, head of the Idgah committee, said that we have been offering Namaz on the donated land for years. The Rastogi family themselves used to clear the land and provide land for Namaz. Now more people will offer Namaz on auspicious occasions without any hindrance. He further said that both the sisters and their families wanted a stone slab to be installed on the boundary wall in the name of Lala ji to donate the land.
