Preparations are being made to change the name of Corbett Tiger Reserve, one of the most famous national parks in the world including the country, to Ramganga National Park soon. In fact, on October 3, Union Forest and Environment Minister Ashwani Kumar Choubey visited Jim Corbett National Park. During this, he said that the name of the park will be changed to Ramganga National Park.
During his visit to Corbett Park, the Union Minister not only talked to the officials in this regard, but he has also written the name of the park as Ramganga National Park in his message in the visitor’s book kept in the museum located at Dhangarhi. Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey had reached here on the occasion of the conclusion of a rally taken out for the protection of tigers under the Amrit Mahotsav program of Azadi.
The name of the National Park will be changed soon

After the conclusion of the program, he reached the museum at Dhangarhi. He took detailed information about Corbett Park here. Later, in front of all the officials, it was told to change the name of Corbett Park to Ramganga National Park. Now it is believed that soon the government will change the name of Corbett National Park to Ramganga National Park.
The park was earlier named as Ramganga National Park.
The park was named Hailey National Park at the time of its establishment in 1936. The park was named after the Governor of the United Provinces, Malcolm Haley. After independence, this park was named Ramganga National Park. It was renamed Jim Corbett National Park in 1957, two years after the death of then famous hunter Jim Corbett.
Let us tell you that Corbett Park is spread between Nainital and Pauri district of Uttarakhand. The major wildlife of Corbett Park are Bengal tiger, Asian elephant, leopard, wild boar, sloth bear, jackal, mongoose and crocodile etc.
