Many districts of Uttarakhand have been receiving heavy rainfall for the past several days. The Meteorological Department has also predicted rain in Kumaon and Garhwal regions on Tuesday. The Meteorological Department has also predicted heavy rain with thunder at isolated places in Dehradun, Nainital, Champawat, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh in the next 24 hours. After the Yellow Alert, Collector Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar has instructed the officers of all departments related to disaster management to be alert. Collector warned of action if negligence

At the same time, after rain since late Monday night, the Yamunotri highway was closed due to debris near Dharasu Band and Paligad. The highway has been restored after about three hours.
But due to the falling of stones along with the swamp, the movement remains risky. At the same time, Badrinath Highway is closed since late night due to debris coming in Pagalnala. NH’s JCB machines are busy opening the highway.
Trees have been swept over the bridge, movement disrupted
After the rain, the water in the Jakhan river again increased in Rishikesh’s Ranipokhari late at night. Due to which the movement on the bridge over the Jakhan river has been again disrupted. According to the experts, the water started flowing over the bridge, due to which the trees got swept away. Due to which the road has been obstructed.
