After the start of Char Dham Yatra including Kedarnath-Badrinath in Uttarakhand, a large number of devotees from all over the country are reaching for darshan. But due to the limited e-pass being issued, many devotees have to return without seeing them. At the same time, the Uttarakhand High Court has given permission to send only a certain number of devotees on the Chardham Yatra. According to the order of the High Court, e-passes are being issued from the portal of Devasthanam Board. In such a situation, when more devotees come, not everyone is able to get e-passes and they are being returned.
In fact, according to the Devasthanam Board, it has been made mandatory for the devotees from outside the state to register the Chardham Yatra in the Dehradun Smart City Portal http://smartcitydehradun.uk.gov.in. In such a situation, e-pass can also be registered on the website of Devasthanam Board. At the same time, every devotee will also have to submit a negative report of corona or a certificate of having both doses of corona vaccine. Along with this, the residents of the state do not need to register in the Smart City Portal.
Devotees reaching more than the prescribed limit in Char Dham
Let us inform that the pilgrims coming to Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham are being returned to the pilgrims by speaking of non-registration from the barrier points at the yatra stops. During this, pilgrims Anandi Patel, Nandiben, Surajbhai Patel, who came from Gujarat, told that they applied for registration on the website of Devasthanam Board, but their registration could not be done due to the slot being full. They have come on the journey without registration. They were stopped at Barkot itself. E-pass was asked here. Due to lack of e-pass, they are returning without seeing. At the same time, manual passes of other passengers are being made in Badrinath if the pilgrims with e-pass do not reach. Although there is some relief here, but the number of manual passes has also been fixed at only one thousand. At the same time, in Kedarnath Dham too, devotees are facing the problem of e-pass. Manual passes are being made here too, but due to the arrival of a large number of devotees, there is a lot of trouble.
No passenger is being harassed unnecessarily – Superintendent of Police
During this, the SP of Uttarkashi district told that the work is being done according to the guidelines of the state government regarding the journey. At the same time, no pilgrim is being harassed without any reason. If any relaxation is given in the guidelines by the government, then we will take further action accordingly.
